GNOME

A program called gnome-panel-screenshot (in /usr/bin/) comes with GNOME on Mandrake 8.2. It can be run even if GNOME is not running, as long as the GNOME libs are installed.

It offers the choice to save the screenshot to the desktop, printer, or a file.
