As knoppix booted up for the first time, it started a Desktop Settings Wizard (which you can restart from the K menu (Settings -> Control Center -> Desktop Settings Wizard)). It provided some interesting information comparing KDE, Unix, Windows and the Mac: This is paraphrased from my handwritten notes. Why didn't I just wait till I got the system on the network and then copy and paste?

OS KDE UNIX Windows MacOS
Window Actuation Focus on click Focus follows mouse Focus on click Focus on click
Titlebar Double Click Shade window Window to back Maximize window Shade window
Mouse selection Single click Single click Double click Single click
App startup notification Busy cursor none Busy cursor none
Keyboard Scheme KDE default UNIX Windows Mac

I need to change the title. As I typed this I realized no one (not even me) would ever come here looking for this information under this title. Needs to be something like OsGUIComparison.
