Question

Version: TWiki-4.1.2, Sat, 03 Mar 2007, build 13046)

Hello,

this text I put to TWiki:

[three spaces]1. some text

< a picture >

[three spaces]2. some text

What I get is:

1. some text

< a picture >

1. some text

How is it possible to continue numbering (without restarting with one) in a listing even if a picture or an empty line is among it?

Regards,

Robert

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

Make sure to do this:

  • No empty lines between numbered bullets
  • Follow-up lines are possible, but require leading spaces
If you do that your numbers will continue to grow.

Example:

  1. First bullet.
Table row on second line (part of first bullet)
one more line on first bullet
yet another line on first bullet (with a BR variable)
  2. Second bullet
  3. Third bullet

See TextFormattingRules.
