Question

I've attached and linked a video file (*.wmv) on a page but when I click on it it starts to load the file as if it's text. I've looked at my browser settings (firefox V2.0.0.14) and it's set up to open video files with windows media viewer yet that's not happening.

How can I get this to work to either call up a new window and play the file in there or open up the proper external program?

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

You must change the mime type on the webserver. See MIME Type Settings for Windows Media Services.

Change it in /data/mime.types.
