Question
Hi,
i have a very special problem with my .htaccess. I installed and configured the Version 4.0.2. that was ok. Now, i configured the authentication with the
ApacheLogin. Under the directory /bin i had created a .htacces with authentication against our LDAP Server. When i try Login, i expect that a Dialog coming up.... but nothing happens
Twiki ignored absolutly the .htaccess! ?
Yes, i controlled the TWiki Configuration and the Apache Configuration .. its ok! No (error)log entries!?
I have following try out:
I have a Directory X applied under my twiki Directory. This Directory containt a .htacces and a x.html File. the htacces File has following content;
require valid-user
inclusive the authentication against our LDAP (original TWiki .htaccess File!)
That workly fine!!!
I have no idea ... what is wrong!!??

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
It would be helpful if you would post the effective apache configuration in place to help us understand the problem.
Probably a httpd.conf or included virtual host configuration takes precedence for the /bin dir, but with the information given it can only be a guess :-/
