Question

LoginNameAliasesPlugin works fine allowing a mapping of LDAP userIDS to WikiNames. However, if we install SessionPlugin (so that once authenticated, the 'view' script recognizes the correct user instead of TWikiGuest), the mapping breaks - Users start up showing as Main.{LDAP User ID}, as if there is no corresponding WikiName to that LDAP User ID.

Is there a workaround for this?

Or, since TWiki 4.0.2 has built-in session support, is the LoginNameAliasesPlugin plugin known to work well with it (if we do away with SessionPlugin and upgrade the TWiki server)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease02Sep2004
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin, LoginNameAliasesPlugin, SessionPlugin
Server OS: Fedora Core 5
Web server: Apache 2.0.54
Perl version: 5.8.6
Client OS: Any
Web Browser: Any
Categories: Authentication, Plugins

I haven't yet upgraded our production TWiki to Dakar. However, the updated plugin in LoginNameAliasesPluginDev seems to work under Dakar given the limited testing I've done. If you notice anything not working, please send me e-mail with the problem (though, I make no promises as to support).

Thanks Clauss! I'll try upgrading the TWiki installation to 4.0.2 and try with the new plugin.
