I have installed the Headlines plugins on a 4.2 Twiki system and it works nicely with rss feeds. However, with atom feeds it either doesn't work at all:
%HEADLINES{"http://news.google.com/news?ned=us&topic=t&output=atom"}%
shows only the top level title.
Or for feeds that do show entries, the
<link rel="alternate" href="http://site.com/path"/>
part is being ignored and replaced with a link back to the twiki page.

The element matching works for <link .... />, but not for <link .... ></link>

This is now fixed, latest package available at
HeadlinesPlugin. It will be released with the next patch release of TWiki.
