SID-00039: SMWiki Pages to Twiki including special characters

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.2.4 Perl version:
Category: CategoryInternationalization Server OS: Last update: 15 years ago

Hi,

i have a working Semantic MediaWiki but i' going to use TWiki from now on. My problem is:

I have several (hundreds) of pages with pagenames including characters like / (slash), german Umlaute (äöü), dots etc.

I have read the documentation and several support topics, and as it seems there is no way to keep these pagenames and import them to my TWiki.

I read the solutions for the german Umlaute, but there seems really no way to use slashes and dots as pagenames/topicnames, right?

Any help would be appreciated, thx in advance!

Discussion and Answer

You can't use slashes in page names. You would need to convert them to another supported character, such as underscore or dash. Page names with umlauts may be possible with proper configuration.
