Question

I just installed twiki and was in the process of configuing the system. I was trying to set up authentication and RcsLite. After setting up .htaccess and following ( I thought ) the documentation in the installation notes for authentication and installing the latest versions of RcsFile.pm, RcsLite.pm, and RcsWrap.pm (to fix a problem with RcsLite ), my system now gets the following error when I browser to WebHome:

Software error: Can't locate object method "new" via package "TWiki::Store::RcsWrap" (perhaps you forgot to load "TWiki::Store::RcsWrap"?) at ../lib/TWiki/Store.pm line 78.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@stonecurvesPLEASENOSPAM.org), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

I switched back from RCSLite in TWiki.confg, but I still get the error. I first noticed the error after finishing the authorization set up.

My testenv results are attached. Can anyone help me. I'm stuck!

Thanks,

Chris Vogel

Answer

You can't simply mix and match new versions of TWiki modules with older ones since the internal interface between modules changes over time. Use the orginal modules and apply the patches (or hand edit the modules)
