Question

I occasionally get empty RCS locks and, as a result, topic storage errors in the web.

This usually does happen when more than one user is editing and/or the users check the release edit lock checkbox. It is not really reproducible in a strict sense, but it happens too often than to have a quite life as sysadmin. I far to often have to manually edit the vee files to add the locak again (since throwing away revision history is not an option in this project).

What can I do ?

The problem shows up in my present Windows XP SP2, Apache 1.3, Activestate Perl mod_perl 5.6, twikiunixsupportfile RCS implementation but it has never been seen by myself on a different system running Linux (however I have no further details available than Sept 2004 and Linux on that installation)
