Question

Hi I have set up a web (Twww), and i want a group of users (TwwwUsers) to be only able to view / access that web

Because these users do not have permission to view the TWiki web, I get No permission to view WebTopBar and WebBottomBar.

Could someone advise me on the best method to overcome these problems? I have been wading through skins documentation and template documentation only to find myself confused and frustrated. I appreciate you help

Do you need to restrict access to the TWiki web? It has "just" the TWiki documentation / settings. See details in TWikiAccessControl on how to setup groups.

I have groups and users set up. The requirements are to have the Twww web available to client groups. Other issues surround this also, like the 'ok' button on the Access Denied page tries to redirect to the main web but we dont want to give them permissions to view here either. This leaves users in an enless loop of permission dinied.

sigh I have convinced my boss to use the Main Web for this to avoid these problems. A shame I couldnt work it out but time costs

It makes no sense to restrict read access to the TWiki web.

You can restrict access to the preference topics in the TWiki web if you feel that gives away some secret info. But the rest of the TWiki web is just documentation and your users can read the exact same information on any other public TWiki including here in TWiki.org. You do not really hide any secret information by restricting read access to the TWiki web.
