Question

I have registered setup TWiki on my computer and registered with twiki. Unfortunatly when I go to do anything like editing my account page I get access denied without ever being asked for a user name and password. I have tried deleting all cookies and saved passwords to no avail. How can I force firefox or twiki to ask for my user name? Is this an apache issue

Other things I have tried include using Epiphany and Konqueror with the same result, and deleting the TwikiGuest user from the .htpasswd file.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04Sep2004
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Ubuntu 5.10
Web server: Apache 2.0.54
Perl version: 5.8.7
Client OS: Ubuntu 5.10
Web Browser: Firefox, Epiphany and Konqueror
Categories: Registration, Security

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

This sounds like an apache error, rather than anything to do with twiki. I assume you have carefully checked that your .htaccess and httpd.conf files are as advised in the installation docs?
