Question
Hi!
I'm planning to build a site that will contain multi-lingual versions of content, like Wikipedia. I need the coordination to be as easy as possible for the authors. Readers should be able to switch to different language versions easily too.
I'm wondering if TWiki will be suitable; or should I consider other platforms like
MediaWiki or Drupal?
Thank you.

Answer
If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.
There are three parts to multi-lingual support: 1. User interface, 2. TWiki documentation, 3. User content.
1. User interface
TWiki is localized to 13 languages.
2. TWiki documentation
User manual only in English.
3. User content
Can me done by creating one TWiki web per language. Such as a EN web for English, ZH web for Chinese, JA for Japanese etc. The EN.Information entry might link to the JA.情報 and vice versa.

We want to use TWiki to write HTML-based help both in product and web. We a master language (english or german) and then every
WikiPage should be translated in different languages.
If a page is missing for one language, how can you see this? And how to find out, if the master page was changed and the translation pages run out of date?
Is it possible to export the content as HTML files? Is it possible to export only parts of content?
