Is there a technical problem - apart from readability - that web names should be no longer than 10 chars? German words are so long, cobined words .....Environment

Answer
There is no technical problem per se, however long web names- might confuse your skin layout (depending on the skin used)
- will result in long URL, which is typically a problem if sent by e-mail (specially Outlook which stubbornly cuts long URLs in half)
