Question

Editing a normal page in the Kupu editor results in bad formating of tables and other text. This is the KupuEditorAddOn beta 4 just downloaded yesterday (04 Nov 2004).

In order to document the effects of the changes, I did the following:

  • Created a page that is fairly simple but with normal content for our TWiki.
  • Copied the TWikiML raw text to a text file from the standard edit box.
  • Opened the page for edit with Kupu editor.
  • Inserted one space in the main title of the page and saved it.
  • Opened the page in the standard editor and copied the TWikiML raw text to the text file.

The TWikiML raw text file with both of the clipboard copies is attached to this report page.

I am impressed with the Kupu Editor and it's potential. There are people here that refuse to learn TWikiML and therefore refuse to use the TWiki. A WYSIWYG editor would be a great boon to further adoption. Thank you for all the work being done to the tools given here.
