Question
I have installed TWiki in our corporation, however we do not have any email support installed. I wanted to enable topic change notifications for users, but all plugins/support I found on the website use emails as the method of notification, which is not possible for me to install. Instead, if it was possible that the user's homepage had a notification area where he could see all the alerts, it will be really useful.
Is any such thing possible in TWiki as of now. Kindly help me out.

Answer
If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.
Suggest you point your users at the
WebChanges pages in each web, where changes are listed.

Hi,
The thing is that there are lots of topics in each web, which are relevant to different sets of people, so pointing all users to a common location is not possible for me.
Is it possible that when the topics (to which the user has subscribed) are modified, TWiki sends a PM/alert on the user homepage instead of mailing the user. Any form of alert would be fine.
Thanks for your help.

I am still waiting for the answer to the above question.
Please let me know if it is possible that when the topics are modified, TWiki sends a PM/alert on the user homepage instead of mailing the user ??

Look at the
InterestedParties form field and the relevant query in the sidebar, such as
ChrisClarkLeftBar.
