If post this string to non-WikiWord topic (or include this string in non-WikiWord topic)

%SEARCH{"%BASETOPIC%" topic="%BASETOPIC%" scope="topic" nosearch="off" nototal="on" format="$rev" }%

it show only:

Search: TWiki-topic (without links) and without revision number below.

in WikiWorded topics all works:

it shows:

Search: TWikiTopic

This is indeed a bug for topics with dashes. Reported as Bugs:Item2625, follow up there.
