Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

This is currently a manual procedure. Login to your server, and remove the tag from the twiki/pub/TWiki/TagMePlugin/_tags_all.txt file. Do a grep on all _tags_*txt to find out where the to-be-removed tag is used.

Please say it ain't so. Is this going to be fixed at some point? I love the tagging system but this seems silly to have to be an admin and log on to the server just to delete a tag.

This is an open source project, please feel free to contribute a patch, or to engage in a consulting assignment.
