Question

I'm trying to change the default editor for the topics. I'm trying to set Wysiwyg editor for some users, but including

Set EDIT_SKIN = kupu

in User Preferences as it says in the plugin info, doesn't work, I get the same plain editor as always. I have tried then to set this variable in TwikiPreferences, with same result.

Has someone tested this funcionality? Is there anything I have missed changing default editor?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04Sep2004
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, WysiwygPlugin
Server OS: Debian Linux
Web server: Apache 1.3
Perl version: 5.8.4
Client OS:
Web Browser: Firefox
Categories: Plugins

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

This is possible with a preferences setting, and is documented in WysiwygPlugin#Editor_control (albeit not so clear)

  • Set COMPOSER =

Above line disables the WysiwygPlugin. Try to edit this topic with the WYSIWYG editor.
