Question

Hi,

I want to try grap the headlines from a feed such as http://news.google.com/nwshp?oe=UTF-8&tab=wn&ned=us&topic=t&output=rss

So i came upon this cool HeadlinesPlugin

I just downloaded and unzip the HeadlinesPlugin got it work after i modified the LocalSite.cfg file to have the correct path . Then i try adding a couple of different feeds an e.g.

%HEADLINES{"http://news.google.com/nwshp?oe=UTF-8&tab=wn&ned=us&topic=t&output=rss" limit="3"}%

i get the following error

HeadlinesPlugin ERROR: 500 Can't connect to news.google.com:80 (connect: Unknown error)

Any ideas greatly appricated... cheers J.

Works great here. Do you have libwww (aka LWP::Agent) installed on your system? Your environment may require connecting the internet via a proxy server.
