Question

Hello, I apologize for bothering you with a basic question - I cannot make it to register users unless I give full rights for the data/.htpasswd file for "others" - for me, in order to succeed in registering users, I have to put something like NN7 for rights. Could anyone please, offer me a solution on this?

Thank you in advance for your time and for your effort! Have a great day!

Alexander

The .htpasswd file has to be readable and writable by the webserver user. You can create a .htpasswd file owned by the apache user as described in HowToCreateABlankHtpasswdFile
