Question

Plugins/FirefoxExtensionAddOn is very useful and helpful to recommend to people learning TWiki syntax. But it doesn't work on Firefox 3, apparently because it doesn't provides secure updates...

Can anyone help? Does anyone know how to upgrade this useful addon for FF 3?

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

I attached a new version without an update URL, so Firefox won't complain about not providing secure updates.

You could also disable the check for secure updates, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Extensions.checkUpdateSecurity (not recommended).

BTW, I tried to upload the extension to FirefoxExtensionAddOnDev but I'm not allowed to.
