Question
I am having problems upgrading plugins using the Find TWiki Extensions interface in the configuration interface.
I have tried upgrading both the
CommentPlugin and the
EditTablePlugin. In both cases the plugin appears to install; however, I get the following warning:
Warning: No CommentPlugin_installer.pl script found in archive
I get a similar warning for
EditTablePlugin. If I look in my twiki directory I can see that the installer scripts are present: CommentPlugin_installer and EditTablePlugin_installer, but they do not have the .pl file extension. As well, they are not executable.
If I go to either the
CommentPlugin or
EditTablePlugin topic my TWiki web the version has been updated, but if I go to the
InstalledPlugins topic, the old versions are shown. I would like to get this working properly if possible.

That's a bit strange; the installer is supposed to execute the
_installer
script (without the
.pl
extensions. I wonder if there was a mixup when mergeing. I will check.
OK, I confirmed that plugins uploaded with no .pl on the installer script won't get installed.

Thanks, Crawford. Version 4.1.2 runs the script now.
