Question

A user reported the following error after editing a page:

Bad arg length for Socket::pack_sockaddr_in, length is 0, should be 4 at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.3/i586-linux-thread-multi/Socket.pm line 373.

Now any time the page is hit, it displays that error message.

Can anyone help with repairing this page so it can be displayed and edited again?

Thanks.

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

This bug and the workaround are documented in IncludeWithIllegalURLReturnsSoftwareError

Does that happen with topics that %INCLUDE% a URL?

The error is in the Perl lib Socket.pm, check with the vendor if there is a reported bug (and fix)
