Question

HI,

I am using edittable plugin to add rows to the table. The table has many columns.

The last column is the Status column and I want this to be edited only by TwikiAdmin group.

Can I set this table, so to allow only Twikiadmin group to edit the column and rest other columns to be edited by others .

Please suggest me the methods to deploy this ?

Thanks

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.

Selective access control within a topic is not possible. It is also not very wiki like. You do not need to lock down content in a wiki that has a community behind, soft security takes care of the integrity of content.

Nevertheless, if you want to selectively restrict access you could create a TWikiForms based application with FormattedSearch instead of an edit table.
