Question

I'd like to extremely shorten a very long anchor tag I use repeatedly:

<a href="http://www.elementool.com/Services/Common/quickview.aspx?accntname=companyname&issueno=6972" target="_blank">6972</a>

I figure I could do this in a Twiki custom variable but I'm not sure how to customize it so that it accepts a parameter. For instance, I'd like to use this new variable like so:

%ETOOL{'6972'} which would expand to the above anchor tag.

How and where do I solve this little nugget?

Thanks,

BrianBeaudet

Write a InterwikiPlugin rule to link ETOOL:6972 automatically.

That's it! I never would have thought to even check out InterwikiPlugin. I better start reading up here. My peers think I'm the TWiki expert and I probably know about 1% of what's available. Now I'm gaining on 2% thanks to you.
