Question

I created a topic in a wiki that is accessible to some users that normally do not have access to this web. I just inserted the whole "ALLOWTOPICVIEW/CHANGE/ stuff and it worked really fine.

Until I started using EditTablePlugin and CommentPlugin on that topic. If people who are normally not allowed to change sth. in this web try to edit the table or post a comment they get the oops message, that they are not allowed to change the topic.

I know that this is fixed for the latest Twiki version. Does anybody know if there's a patch or a workaround for Twiki 4.0.0 ? We cannot upgrade our running installation again.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x00
TWiki plugins:
Server OS:
Web server:
Perl version:
Client OS:
Web Browser:
Categories: Permissions, Authentication, Plugins

I can't help with an answer but you could search the bugs database. May be there's a solution to your problem...

For the EDITTABLE updating the plugin version was a good solution wink

But for the COMMENT-Plugin it didn't help anything.

And yes I already had a look at the bugs database but didn't help really...

There has been no change to the CommentPlugin to "fix it in the latest version" - AFAIK it was never broken.
