Question

When editing TWikiShorthand page (Surely not!): upon clicking the Preview Changes button it will not save/preview.
No error message. No timeout. No adverse affects to working on other TWiki files. It just mouse timers like it is doing something, but does not go anywhere.

Maximum time waited: 15 minutes.

I have tried pasting in large text files and the same thing happens. .

• Web server: apache-1.3.14
• Server OS: GNU/Linux
• Web browser: Galeon 1.2.0
• Client OS: GNU/Linux

Answer

Galeon 1.2.0 is based on Mozilla 0.9.9 and there is a known problem with this version of Mozilla failing to upload large documents, as described in MozillaBrowserIssues. The solution should be to update to a more recent version of Galeon. Version 1.2.1 is based on Mozilla 1.0rc1, which allegedly fixes this problem.

Have upgraded to Mozilla 1.0.0 and Galeon 1.2.5. The issue does appear to be resolved. My thanks. MozillaBrowserIssues is very useful.
