Question

As seen on SearchDoesNotWork, the very last word of a file will not be found by a backlink unless there are following characters. This can cause a problem for simple categorization using CategoryXyzzy-type tags.

Apologies in advance for the awkward grammar of the tail sentance and the mucked-up formatting of this FAQ, but the problem isn't demonstrable without the last word. I updated the Sandbox link to the unmentionable last word to provide a search equivalent to a backlink search that really should find this document. As long as the last word in this topic is not followed by any characters, that search will fail.

Answer

This seems to be discussed and solved in the BacklinksSearchDoesNotWork bug work.

This should now be solved in the DEVELOP branch.

This is still not fixed in the current implementation.

For example, if the last word of this particular topic ends with this sentance without following characters, backlinks won't work to here from XyzzyXyzzyTest
