Question
Just a thought here. When I am searching the Support web for an answer to a problem, I often find questions from as early as 2002, which relate to an old release. Obviously this isn't very helpful, so might it be better to archive these old and irrelevant questions somewhere so they do not show up in a search? Maybe in a seperate web, so they can still be found if needed.
An easier fix might be to change the search page, so it has a drop down menu asking for which release you want to search by. I know you can do this by writing a regex in the search box, but a drop down menu would be more user friendly. As all the questions have this information in the form, it should help users find more relevent questions.

Answer
If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.
Archiving content is one way, but the real question is how to show relevant content in a big data source. I think the right approach is to tweak the search to exclude stale content, or to enhance search to be able to specify the twiki version.
