SvgPlugin Development Discussion

I've just uploaded the first version.

Hey, nice Antonio! Next step is a good TWikiDrawSvgPlugin implementation?

-- PeterThoeny - 07 Oct 2004

Antonio, that is the dog's bollocks! (old English expression meaning "really good" wink )

I assume it generates a GIF on the fly and displays that. Presumably that means that you can use a MAP with the images generated this way.

To add SVG to TWikiDrawPlugin is not difficult; the TWikiDrawSvgPlugin can be referenced for information on how, though the implementation would have to be better. I had it almost working, but withdrew the code because of the number of bugs.

Peter, I myself don't intend to work on a TWikiDrawSvgPlugin, but it should be great. For now, using Inkscape and re-attaching the file is fine for me. smile

Crawford, it generates a PNG. Since the content put in the place of the %SVG{}% markup is just the generated image's URL (it's TWiki itself that puts the <img> tag), you can do anything you want with it, including using maps.
