GliffyPlugin Development Idea

gliffy1.png

Gliffy, http://www.gliffy.com/, is a nice web based drawing tool. Think of it as a web based Visio.

From Gliffy website:

  • Desktop application feel in a web-based diagramming solution
  • Create many types of diagrams such as Flowcharts, UI wireframes, Floor plans, Network diagrams, UML diagrams, or any other simple drawing or diagram

Confluence has a plugin, see overview video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYLabE6cfBE

This would be a nice plugin for TWiki, e.g. a souped up version of TWikiDrawPlugin. Anyone interested in pursuing this? This is a Adobe Flash based editor. I do not know what the license is of Gliffy.

Ah, I see that the Gliffy plugin for Confluence has a commercial license: http://www.gliffy.com/confluencePlugin/licensing.shtml

It is possible to obtain a opensource license. See: http://www.gliffy.com/confluencePlugin/licensing.shtml#opensource
