Excel Export as TWiki Table Addon

If you have a number of tables that you keep as Excel spreadsheets, this macro provides a fast way to convert from Excel to a TWiki table in TML (TWiki Markup Language) format.

Once the macro is installed you can export the current Excel spreadsheet in TWiki format by typing Alt-F8 and choosing ExportDBToTWiki. The exported table is now in the clipboard and can be pasted into the TWiki edit window.

Add-On Installation Instructions

Note: Contrary to many TWiki Add Ons this is not installed on the server but is a macro to be installed in MS Excel.

• Download and extract the attached ExcelExportTwikiTableAddOn.zip file
• Start Excel
• Click on the "Developer" tab and click "Visual Basic Editor" (Note: If there is no Developer menu, open Excel Options and add the Developer menu. (see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/find-help-on-using-the-visual-basic-editor-HA010173655.aspx?CTT=1#BM11 for help). In earlier versions of Excel select the Tools -> Macros -> "Visual Basic Editor" menu option.
• In the Visual Basic Editor, right click on "VBA Project (Personal.XLS)"
• Choose "Import File", and import the ExportToTwiki.bas file
• Choose Tools -> References, ensure that "Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library" is checked and click OK. (Note: If there is no "Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library" on the list, then click on "Browse" and choose the file FM20.dll, that should do the job of loading it. Enabling the Analysis ToolPak add-in will also make this reference available.
• Exit the window by clicking on the X decoration at the upper right, or use Alt-Q, or choose File -> return to excel.
