A creative start, Bob! Hint: You can use SpreadSheetPlugin's $TRANSLATE() function to escape unwanted characters, such as "|" that mess up the table. The %CALC{}% needs to be escaped too, something like: $percntCALC{$TRANSLATE($pattern(...), |, )}$percnt. You can nest $TRANSLATE() to escape more than one char.

Funny, I always wondered what happend to the ideas in HighlightSearchTerms and HighlightSearchTermsInTopicSummary. Guess I should also use GoogleYourTWiki.
