Bug: TWiki Meta Language is expanded when used inside HTML tag parameters, resulting in illegal HTML/XHTML.

Example:

<img src="mrtwiki.gif" alt="[[Main.PeterThoeny][PTh]]" /> renders as <a href=PTh" />

  • This is illegal HTML, you can't use HTML tags within an alt parameter. Where did you find this? -- PTh
  • True. It was on an intranet, and don't worry, the picture was quite complimentary! But the point is that a TWiki user did this, and was mystified by the result. This is another example (c.f. blank lines in tables) where HTML and TML don't interact cleanly.
