Bug: Can't Rename a Locked Topic

TWiki: Alpha from Sourceforge CVS (stand: morning 31 July 2001) Platform: linux (Suse 7.0)

If I try to rename a locked topic I get the correct screen "Topic is locked by an other user". But if I then do "Rename anyway" I come back to the first rename screen (Web/Name) and nothing else happend. The topic has still the same name.

Follow up

I just verified this long outstanding bug, needs to be fixed.

There is another very closely related bug. If you edit an topic, save without releasing locks and then try renaming within the lock period (1h), you get a message saying the topic is locked - well, yes it is, but by the user who is trying to rename the topic. If you go back into edit, click the 'release the locks' checkbox, save then retry the rename, it succeeds.

Fix Record

Needs to be reverified on DEVELOP, given ReleaseLocksOnSave. Someone, please, help!

Well, absolutely no help in reverifying it, so I ended up doing it myself. Again. OK, with the new locking scheme I cannot reproduce this.
