Many hosting setups require:

• chmod og-w bin
• chmod a+x bin

Ok, I hadn't spotted that. But which name do you prefer and why?

In speach, I seldom abbreviate Directory to Dir (perhaps because it sounds too much like 'dire').

So, okay if I rename BinDir to BinDirectory and merge the topics?

Actually, I did not think it through. The BinDir topic name is in use for already 8 month, and CoolURIsDontChange.
