Bug: Adding a New Web fails if user not already logged in

"Add Web" breaks if not logged in. (i.e. if it has to ask you to login during the creation process).

Instead of the web being created, you get: "Missing action command Please go back in your browser and try again." http://wiki.everythingsysadmin.com/twiki/bin/oops/TWiki/ManagingWebs?template=oopsattention;def=missing_action

Test case

To show the failure:

  • Log out.
  • Go to ManagingWebs page.
  • Create a web.
  • You will be asked to log in.
  • Enter name and passowrd, click Submit.
  • You will be given an error.

Compare to:

  • Go to ManagingWebs page.
  • Create a web.
  • You will NOT be asked to log in.
  • The web will be created.

Environment

TWiki version: TWiki 4
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: FreeBSD
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5.8.8
Client OS: Mac OS X
Web Browser: Firefox 1.5 and Safari

This is a TWiki 4 bug report and is handled in the Bugs web; setting this to "needs rethink" after adding TomLimoncelli report to Bugs:Item2295.
